Watkins 33 Points Lead Men's Basketball over Stevens

Jalen Watkins recorded a game-high 23 points to help lead the Arcadia University men's basketball team to a 74-61 victory over Stevens Institute of Techology in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play inside Alumni Gymnasium on Wednesday evening. Nas Johnson and Dom Vazquez also finished in double-figures for the Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The score was tied 4-4 with two minutes gone in the first half before Arcadia went on an 8-0 run, taking a 12-4 lead with 16:08 on the clock.

-The Knights finished the half outscoring Stevens 31-19, taking a 43-23 lead into the break.

-Arcadia's advantage never sank below 13 points in the second half as the Knights cruised to the victory.

-In a rare feat, Arcadia's five starters score all 74 points.

-Watkins notched his second 30-points game of the season after he poured in a career-high 39 at Penn State Abington on November 22nd.

-Watkins set a season-high with 21 field goal attempts.

-Johnson tied his season-high of 18 points while setting new season benchmarks in minutes, made field goals, rebounds, blocks, and steals.

-Vazquez matched his season-high hitting three shots from deep.

-The Knights defense was relentless in the first half. holdling Stevens to 27 percent (8-30) from the field and 11 percent (1-9) from deep.
