FOIA Request to Towamencin Township Police Pension Plan Regarding Pension Rosters on September 20, 2024.
In our continued efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at East Montgomery Times have submitted a request for records under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law. The request specifically seeks information about the active and retired employees in the organization's pension fund for the year of 2023.
The data fields requested include last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, employer name, employment start date, employment end date, salary, compensation type, amount, year, process date, last disbursement amount, disbursement frequency and 2023 contribution amount.
As a media organization committed to transparency and accountability in public institutions, we believe that access to these public records is essential. It will allow us to fulfill our professional responsibilities effectively and ensure that the public remains informed about their local government's activities.
We have also requested a fee waiver as a media professional due to our role in gathering and reporting news to the public.
