Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple Health have announced the appointment of Alyssa R. Goldbach, DO, as an Assistant Professor for Breast Imaging in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging.

Before joining Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple Health, Goldbach served as a radiologist and Director of the Riddle Hospital Breast Center for Radiology Associates of the Main Line. She also worked as a radiologist at Temple University Hospital.

Goldbach's academic background includes an undergraduate degree in biochemistry, cellular, and molecular biology from the University of Scranton. She earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015.

Her professional journey includes serving as Chief Diagnostic Radiology Resident at Temple University Hospital from 2016 to 2020. In 2021, she completed a Breast Imaging Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.

Throughout her career, Goldbach has received several accolades such as the American College of Radiology Gold Merit Abstract Award and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Abstract Award.

Goldbach has held leadership roles in various scientific and medical organizations. She was involved with the American College of Radiology’s Commission on Ultrasound and participated in committees at Temple University Hospital including its Graduate Medical Education Committee, Cancer Committee, and Utilization Review Committee.

In addition to her clinical work, Goldbach has contributed to over a dozen peer-reviewed publications. Her research has been featured in journals like the Journal of Thoracic Imaging, the Journal of Experimental Biology, and The Breast Journal.
