The Network for Public Health Law recently conducted a webinar titled "AI and Public Health: Opportunities and Challenges" on January 23, 2025. The session provided an in-depth look at the emerging applications of artificial intelligence in public health. The discussion began with defining generative AI and exploring its potential uses. It also addressed the challenges associated with implementing AI in public health settings, focusing on ethical, operational, and policy considerations. The speakers concluded by discussing legislative trends and identifying areas where AI could potentially transform public health work.

The webinar featured four speakers from diverse backgrounds, including representatives from the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), the Public Health Informatics Institute, and Dallas County Health and Human Services.

Additionally, Immunize.org offers laminated versions of approved immunization schedules to assist healthcare providers. These include both child and adolescent schedules (20 pages) as well as adult schedules (16 pages). Each order comes with a one-page handout summarizing vaccine dose, route, and needle size recommendations. Quantity discounts are available for those needing multiple copies for exam rooms or providers.
