Congressman Dwight Evans, representing Pennsylvania’s 3rd district since 2016, recently expressed his views on several political issues through a series of tweets. Known for his active role in Congress and previous long-term service in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Evans continues to voice his opinions on matters affecting both his constituents and the broader American public.

On February 21, 2025, Congressman Evans addressed his Republican colleagues with a call to action. In a tweet, he stated: "Dear Republican colleagues: YOU ARE NOT HELPLESS. Courage is contagious. Congress has the power of the purse under the Constitution. You can & should work with Democrats to pass real constraints on presidential power."

Later that day, Evans voiced opposition to actions taken by former President Trump regarding the United States Postal Service (USPS). He tweeted: "From sending business supplies to life-saving medication to letters from loved ones, the USPS provides a crucial service ALL Americans rely on. I oppose Trump's attempt to dismantle this independent agency – this would be another wild overreach of his constitutional authority."

In another post made on February 21, 2025, Evans criticized upcoming plans by House Republicans concerning Medicaid funding. He declared: "Next week, House Republicans plan to hold a vote on their budget resolution, which will likely lead to substantial Medicaid cuts. I vehemently oppose cuts to Medicaid. If this legislation comes to the floor, I will vote NO."
