The Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital held its second bake-off contest, titled "Love from First Bite," on February 14th. This event invited participants to showcase their best Valentine's Day cookies. The competition featured seven entries, including brown butter snickerdoodles, sourdough chocolate cookies, and chocolate strawberry shortbread.

Betty Shannon, who won the previous contest, was part of the judging panel this time. Alongside six other judges, she selected Assistant Secretary to the Associate General Counsel Tausha Saunders as the first prize winner for her empire biscuits.

Saunders crafted her winning entry using a recipe from her mother-in-law. Her heart-shaped biscuits were filled with jam and topped with glazed cherry, adding a fitting touch for Valentine's Day.

The list of contestants included Atiya Jones with Crescent Walnut Cookies, Alexandria Adams with Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies, Edward Bell with Snickerdoodles, John Blount with Dutch Cocoa Cookies, Jennifer White with Brown Butter Snickerdoodles, and Tierney Glabus with Chocolate Strawberry Shortbread.

Photos from the competition highlight these mouth-watering creations.
