Congressman Dwight Evans, currently serving Pennsylvania's 3rd district since 2016, has been outspoken on Twitter regarding several pressing issues. His recent tweets cover topics such as economic policy, a Supreme Court ruling, and social security.

On April 15, 2025, Congressman Evans criticized the economic policies of former President Donald Trump. He stated, "While Donald Trump continues fumbling our economy, hard-working Americans are suffering. And Congressional Republicans are content just standing by doing nothing…”

Later the same day, Evans addressed the former president's actions concerning a Supreme Court decision. He called attention to a case where Trump ignored a 9-0 ruling, ordering the return of a deported individual, Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Evans wrote, "The convicted felon president is ignoring a 9-0 Supreme Court ruling to bring back wrongly deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Philadelphians said NO to a king almost 250 years ago & we say NO again today – I call on the president to follow his oath to the Constitution &”

In another statement, Evans introduced a legislative proposal aimed at amending a new policy related to social security. Addressing a specific concern, he tweeted, "This bill would protect struggling seniors from President Trump’s new drastic clawback policy, capping clawbacks at 10% of monthly benefits so people don’t have to choose between food, rent & medicine! #HandsOffSocialSecurity"

Dwight Evans has served in the U.S. Congress, representing Pennsylvania’s 3rd District, since 2016. He previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1981 to 2016.
