County of Montgomery issued the following announcement on Mar. 25.
Green Lane Park announced today its upcoming events for April. The public is encouraged to register to attend these upcoming family-friendly events.
Color Your Eggs - Naturally
Saturday, April 9 at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
Use natural materials to color Easter Eggs much like our grandparents did! Bring a dozen hard-boiled eggs, and sample colors from Mother Nature’s palette. Spaces are limited, and pre-registration is required. Suitable for ages 5 to adult. Call (215) 234-4528 to reserve your spaces. (please indicate which session you want to attend). There is a $5 fee per dozen eggs to cover cost of materials.
Spring Beauties - The Wildflowers
Saturday, April 23 at 1 p.m.
We will explore the spring woods for tips on identifying and understanding wildflowers. Along the walk, we will learn some fun facts and folklore surrounding many of the plants. This is a great opportunity for photographers. Suitable for ages 9 to adult. Call (215) 234-4528 to reserve your spot. Program will meet outside Park Office located at 2144 Snyder Road, Green Lane, PA 18054.
ABOUT GREEN LANE PARK
Green Lane Park, in northwestern Montgomery County, offers a variety of year-round, outdoor activities and programs for people to choose from. Park visitors can enjoy fishing, boating (including boat rentals), family and group camping, picnicking, 25 miles of trails for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking, as well as two children’s playgrounds. Winter enthusiasts can cross-country ski, ice fish or go ice skating, weather permitting. The park also offers summer concerts and family-oriented, environmental education programs on weekends. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to sunset.
