CSAC Announces Changes to 2022 Softball and Baseball Championship

Colonial States Athletic Conference issued the following announcement on May 4.

Due to the impending weather forecast for the weekend, the Colonial States Athletic Conference has made changes to the 2022 Softball and Baseball Championship slated for this weekend.

For softball, games for both Friday and Saturday have been cancelled. The tournament, slated to be played at Wilson, will now be a single-elimination starting at noon on Sunday.

The new tournament schedule is as follows:

At noon, #2 Rosemont will play #3 Cedar Crest. The loser of that game will be eliminated.

At 2 p.m., #1 Wilson will play #5 Keystone. The loser of that game will be eliminated.

At 4 p.m., the winners of the two games above will meet for the CSAC title.

For baseball, the best of three series will not start on Friday.

The new tournament schedule is as follows:

The Keystone-Saint Elizabeth series, slated for Keystone, will move to a Saturday-Sunday format. Keystone and Saint Elizabeth will play two games, starting at noon, on Saturday. If Saturday is not available, the two teams will play a double header on Sunday, with the if necessary game on Monday.

The Wilson-Cairn series will move to a Sunday-Monday format. Wilson will host Cairn at noon on Sunday in a double header, with the if necessary game going to Monday. Monday’s if necessary game would be at 3 p.m.

As of Wednesday, start times for the Men’s Lacrosse, Women’s Lacrosse and Track and Field Championship remain unchanged.
