County of Montgomery recently issued the following announcement.
Kid's Creek Study at Lower Perkiomen Valley Park
Saturday, June 25, 2022
Creek studies are educational and fun! Children will safely explore the creek, while searching for and collecting macroinvertebrates to examine up close. Together we will determine whether or not we think our creek is healthy, based on what we find. Your child will experience thinking and working like a real scientist! By the end of the program, they will have learned how to properly collect and examine macroinvertebrates, as well as understand their importance. Pre-registration required by June 18th; participants should meet at the Park and Ride parking lot; weather permitting. Ages 6-12; Participants should dress for the weather—sunscreen, hats, etc. Parents are encouraged to bring insect repellent and towels in case children get wet. Proper shoes are required, such as water shoes, or waterproof boots. NO flip flops. Register at EventBrite
