"I am proud to have voted in favor of the Assault Weapons Ban today. Statistics show that an assault weapons ban saves lives. Mass shootings declined during a previous 10yr ban. When that ban expired-- mass shootings tripled. The numbers dont lie. This legislation will save lives"
