Congressman Dwight Evans, representing Pennsylvania's 3rd district since 2016, recently shared a series of tweets discussing legislative initiatives and political developments. Evans has been an active voice in Congress following his extensive tenure in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1981 to 2016.

On March 13, 2025, Congressman Evans addressed issues faced by probationary federal employees. He noted hearing from individuals like Keisha in Philadelphia who were allegedly "unjustly fired under Musk's DOGE" and consequently prevented from public service. Evans announced his support for "RepSarahElfreth's Protect Our Probationary Employees Act", which aims to prevent such workers from having to restart their service time.

The same day, Evans expressed optimism about bipartisan support for the bill he mentioned earlier. He highlighted that there are already three Republican co-sponsors and urged more colleagues to back the legislation. His call comes after a federal judge ordered immediate reinstatement of probationary federal workers. "I urge more of my Republican colleagues to join this critical legislation," he tweeted.

In another tweet on March 14, 2025, Evans commented on a recent vote concerning a GOP bill described as a "blank check." He stated that House Democrats held firm against it and expressed readiness for further voting if the Senate proposes improved legislation. Addressing Senator Schumer, he questioned the purpose of the filibuster if not used in such circumstances: "What is the filibuster for, if not this?"
